Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst / Product Owner with a strong background in Healthcare domain to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, clinical users, and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product ownership, requirements gathering, process mapping, and data-driven solution design for healthcare applications, platforms, or integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to define, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.

Serve as the Product Owner for assigned healthcare initiatives — manage product backlog, prioritize user stories, and ensure sprint goals align with business value.

Conduct business process analysis for healthcare workflows such as member management, claims, eligibility, provider data, or clinical operations.

Translate complex healthcare business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.

Collaborate with developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders during the full software development lifecycle.

Participate in product roadmap planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.

Analyze and validate data flows across healthcare systems (EHR, EMR, payer systems, CRM, analytics platforms, etc.).

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and regulatory standards.

Support UAT, production validation, and post-implementation reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner, with at least 3+ years in Healthcare domain.

Strong understanding of healthcare business processes — Claims, Eligibility, Enrollment, Provider Management, Care Management, or Clinical Data.

Experience with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data exchange standards.

Proven ability to manage and refine product backlogs and define epics, features, and user stories using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Excellent skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis, and documentation.

Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, or equivalent.

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Experience working with payer, provider, or healthcare analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to AI/ML use cases in healthcare, interoperability, or data modernization initiatives.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Agile certifications preferred.

Soft Skills

Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
