Job Title: Product Owner Securities & Custody Operations

Location: Jersey City NJ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and domain-savvy Product Owner to lead initiatives in the securities and custody operations space. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ADRs, GDRs, corporate actions, and the trade lifecycle, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for global custody and depository receipt operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for custody and securities operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product features and enhancements related to:
    • Securities (including ADRs, GDRs, and DR operations)
    • Corporate Actions (mandatory and voluntary)
    • Custody Operations and Trade Lifecycle
    • Clearing House interactions and settlement processes
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, regulatory impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of product features.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting custody and securities operations.
  • Conduct UAT and support production rollouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in capital markets or securities domain.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • ADR (American Depository Receipts)
    • GDR (Global Depository Receipts)
    • Corporate Actions
    • Custody and DR Operations
    • Trade Lifecycle and Clearing House processes
  • Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, settlement systems, and global market practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
