Job Title: Product Owner Finance
Location: Louisville, KY Onsite
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner (Finance)to join our team in Louisville, KY. The Product Owner will play a critical role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of finance-related products and solutions. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical delivery teams to ensure that financial systems and processes meet business needs and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for finance-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
Partner with technology teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality finance products, enhancements, and integrations.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for finance processes, accounting standards, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with the Agile delivery team.
Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
Continuously monitor industry trends and regulatory changes in finance to ensure products remain compliant and competitive.
Ensure financial systems and tools (ERP, reporting systems, etc.) support accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Drive adoption of new finance solutions by providing guidance, documentation, and training to end-users.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Finance Systems rolewithin financial services, accounting, or technology domains.
Strong knowledge of financial processes including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials) or financial applications.
Proven ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage a product backlog.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Certification in Agile methodologies (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent).
Experience with financial data analytics and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Understanding of SOX compliance, GAAP, or other financial regulatory requirements.
