One of our clients is looking for a Production Systems Analyst - SQL to join their team on-site in Spring, TX.

Must Have:-

• SQL
• Oil/Gas Industry experience

Job description:

Senior Business Analyst Production Accounting & Measurement Systems

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support & Maintenance

• • Provide support for production accounting and measurement systems (e.g., ProCount, FLOWCAL, CARTE ).
  • Provide offshore Production Operations, Engineering & Accounting support for Field Data Capture/Analytics.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes or enhancements.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with upstream and midstream applications.

Data Management & Integrity

o Ensure accurate and timely data flow from field measurement devices (meters, SCADA systems) into accounting platforms.

o Design and implement allocation systems using custom formulas and templates; set up new wells and allocation networks.

o Validate production and allocation data for unconventional wells, pads, and facilities.

o Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.

o Create and modify SQL views, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting tools (Spotfire, Power BI); develop alerts for data integrity and variance monitoring.

Integration & Automation

o Develop and maintain interfaces between production accounting tools and ERP systems (SAP) or data historians.

o Automate workflows for volume allocations, balancing, and reporting.

Compliance & Standards

o Support regulatory and contractual reporting requirements (e.g., state agencies, royalty owners).

o Advise in best practices and methodologies in implementing calculation-based allocations

o Architect business solutions for OPS/PA on daily and monthly close processes and reports. Lead special projects such as software upgrades, new allocation scenarios, business process updates, and application testing.

Stakeholder Collaboration

o Work closely with Production Engineers, Measurement Analysts, and Accounting teams to resolve data and system issues.

o Provide training and documentation for end-users.

Preferred Experience:

5+ years in IT support for oil & gas production systems.

Exposure to unconventional operations (shale, tight oil, fracking).

• Advanced understanding of Production Accounting processes: month end close, NRIs, regulatory filing, partner reporting, new wells, allocations, PPAs, and general workflow to revenue.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

o Strong knowledge of production accounting principles and measurement standards in unconventional oil & gas.

o Experience with industry tools such as IFS ProCount, CARTE, FLOWCAL, or similar.

o Familiarity with SCADA systems, data historians, and field measurement devices.

IT Skills

o Proficiency in SQL, scripting (PowerShell), and data integration (Databricks, ADF) techniques.

o Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and API-based integrations.

Soft Skills

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
