Oxford s client just won a new program to design a few new ground-based antennae and a multiband feed that goes on a 2.5m antenna. They are starting the program now, and are in need of a Program Manager to drive things from the award to installation & delivery of a production product. Their ideal candidate would have started out in engineering and moved into program management. This is a small group, 4-8 engineers, and the candidate will need to be working independently. They do not have a lot of inputs coming in from scheduling, finance, etc. They will need someone that can reach out and gather the information needed, drive the project, crack the whip, and be in a customer facing role. If there is a problem, this candidate will be expected to go out and find the 5 people internally to solve the problem.
