Top Skills & Years of Experience:
Applications Development in IBMi environment using RPG language (8-10 yrs.)
iSeries/AS400 database experience
SDLC processes
Abstract thinking and problem-solving
creating/updating documentation/data mapping
Nice to Have:
Outstanding communication skills
Independent/self-starter with ability to work as part of a team.

Duration of the Contract: At full-time hours (40/wk.), duration will be no more than seven months. A part-time option (20 hrs./wk.) could be arranged, which would lengthen the duration to 1 year.

Onsite or Remote?
Some onsite work required. This position will work with our existing software development team, which includes working at our development shop inside the Jefferson City Correctional Center. Some remote work may be possible after an initial orientation and training period.

Additional details:
Maintain OPII application, including user screen functionality, back-end databases, and sub-programs/routines. Tasks include but are not limited to: Add new values to database tables, modify screens to include additional fields, maintain database dependencies and programmatic rules, address any impact or effects of the value changes on any other OPII system functionality, i.e., reports or behind-the-scenes functionality, and document/update specifications, data relationships, and maintenance efforts and findings.
