Job Details

Title: Programmer Standard II - Python

Duration: 3 Months - Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20433

Hybrid Onsite: 4 days onsite per week from Day1 with a transition to 100% onsite expected soon.

Skills and Experience Needed for this role:

  1. Serverless architecture experience with Azure Functions or AWS Lambda (serverless scalable design, geospatial familiarity)
  2. 2. Python backend development for data management with cloud storage and database integration (familiarity with data lake/HNS)
  3. PostgreSQL and database operations including schema management, SQL, optimization (familiarity with geometry types)
  4. Large file ETL processing experience (500MB+ files, batch operations, memory management in serverless)
  5. Production data pipeline development with error handling, retry logic, idempotency, and monitoring
  6. REST API development and integration (consuming external data APIs, exposing pipeline status endpoints)
  7. Modern development practices including AI-assisted development, structured code organization, and collaborative debugging
