Title: Project Analyst
Location: 3 Innovation Way, Pomona, CA 91768 - Onsite
Duration: 18-month contract

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Analyst to support capital projects within the engineering, construction, and utility infrastructure space. This role requires someone with strong analytical capabilities, deep experience in project controls, and ideally an early-career foundation in civil engineering. You will play a vital role in providing accurate, timely, and insightful data that supports project delivery for a major California utility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical and project control support across all phases of complex utility infrastructure projects from scoping and planning through permitting, construction, and close-out.
• Track and monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics using tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 (preferred) or other PM systems.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies to communicate project status, risks, and forecasts.
• Support issue resolution and risk mitigation efforts through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate records, cost logs, and schedule baselines to ensure projects stay within scope and budget.
• Assist with forecasting costs-at-completion, analyzing production and resource variances, and making recommendations based on trends.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams, field staff, permitting agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Help enforce compliance with safety protocols and organizational PM standards.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project analysis, project controls, or project support.
• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) is required.
• Experience with project management tools, especially Primavera P6 (preferred), though MS Project or others are acceptable.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and data validation skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience supporting infrastructure-related projects (e.g., utilities, substations, construction).
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and organizational skills.

• Early background in civil engineering before transitioning into project analytics or support roles.
• Familiarity with utility regulatory environments, permitting, and easement processes.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SharePoint.
