Project Engineer
Location: Onsite in Yorktown, VA
Salary: $105k-$120k DOE
Position Overview
We are an expanding international company specializing in the creation and production of pressure sensors, transducers, switches, and precision metal bellows, serving a variety of industries. We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders in the space, aviation, and military sectors, focusing on the development and management of complex engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage engineering project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage project budgets and perform cost estimation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards throughout project execution.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize project performance.
- Solve technical problems as they arise during project development.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering within the manufacturing, space, military, or aviation industries.
- Experience designing fixtures and tools for assembly and test.
- Familiarity with transducers, sensors, and electromechanical products is a plus.
- Experience with test equipment and methodologies is desirable.
