Project Manager/Program Manager
Location: - Brooklyn, NY- On-site/Remote as required
Security Clearance: NYC DOE Fingerprinting and Background Check Required
Long term
Client: Federal
Pay rate: Market/DOE
Availability: Full-time, reachable during business hours (9 am-5 pm EST)
Position Summary
Serves as single point of contact and primary liaison with Client throughout contract duration. Responsible for overall project planning, coordination, quality assurance, and delivery of all project deliverables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project work plans and timelines
  • Oversee vendor project team and ensure appropriate resource allocation
  • Ensure timely submission of all deliverables, reports, and change requests
  • Serve as escalation point for project-related issues and risks
  • Coordinate regular project status meetings with Client stakeholders
  • Submit weekly status reports and monthly roll-up reports
  • Prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes
  • Manage project budget and resource utilization
  • Coordinate with subcontractors (if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with all Client security and operational requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of project management experience
  • Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years managing IT projects in public sector/educational institutions
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, etc.)
    • Experience with governance frameworks
    • Knowledge of IT strategic planning processes
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability: Must be available for emergency communication during off-hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale IT transformation projects
  • Knowledge of educational technology environments
  • Experience with NYC government contracting processes
