Role: Project Manager (LOCALS ONLY)

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining coordination across numerous related initiatives and leading special projects as assigned by agency leadership. These responsibilities include: developing project management tools; maintaining project management data on critical and major projects; reporting progress on key projects to executive/senior staff; providing recommendations regarding project management practices to agency leadership and reporting the status of key projects and accomplishments.

Overall, 12+ years of experience required.

Required (8 years)

  • Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; devise solutions to problems; prepare concise reports; and analyze and resolve complex issues while effectively prioritizing information and tasks.
  • Ability to develop and deliver reports that identify gaps in technology and operational effectiveness.
  • Skilled in mapping business processes, identifying process improvements, and planning and facilitating meetings and group problem-solving sessions.
  • Experience developing or contributing to statements of work, project charters, design documentation, test plans, risk assessments, project budgets, schedules, work plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders, with excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects, including implementations across large organizations, with experience developing and managing project plans and documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • Experience ensuring timely resolution of issues and removing project barriers.

Preferred (7 years)

  • Experience developing written materials, including briefing documents, administrative reports, and PowerPoint presentations, for diverse audiences, including senior and executive management.

Preferred (5 years)

  • Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues; develop and present weekly written and verbal status updates; conduct regular project team status meetings; and compile and distribute project information, status reports, and budget updates.
