Key Responsibilities
- Agile Coaching & Facilitation: Serve as the Scrum Master, coaching the team on Scrum practices, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement across the team and organization.
- Ceremonies Management: Expertly facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Impediment Removal: Act as a relentless impediment remover, negotiating dependencies, and protecting the team from external distractions.
- Scaled Context: Apply advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile methodologies (SAFe, Nexus, LeSS, or similar) to potentially lead multiple Agile teams or a large, scaled program.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate across complex cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Product, Architecture, Compliance) and manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Process & Reporting: Guide teams in implementing Agile best practices, supporting delivery forecasting, executive-level reporting, burn-up metrics, and KPI updates.
- Product Owner Coaching: Coach Product Owners on effective backlog refinement, story decomposition, estimation, and value prioritization.
Required Qualifications
- Scrum Master Experience: 7 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience supporting complex, enterprise-level financial or debt management software solutions.
- Agile Tooling: Hands-on experience using Agile lifecycle management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.).
- Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of SDLC, SADLC (Secure Application Development Lifecycle), and modern DevOps practices.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory, privacy, and security considerations in financial services software (e.g., PCI, SOC, CFPB-related requirements).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multiple Agile teams or work in a scaled program context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CSM, PSM I/II, ICP-ACC, or equivalent certification.
- Specific Systems: Experience with debt collection/servicing systems, payment processing, or financial case management platforms.
- Practices: Experience supporting Quality Assurance processes (UAT, regression) and contributing to an Agile Center of Excellence (CoE).
