Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and technically adept Technical Program Manager to lead the delivery and operations of three data-intensive platforms: Client APIs, Billing Data, and Contact Management. This role requires a strong background in backend systems, data engineering, and agile delivery practices. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to product owners, a protector of development teams, and a proactive driver of execution across multiple workstreams.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to product owners, a protector of development teams, and a proactive driver of execution across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Ownership
- Oversee three distinct platforms with heavy data dependencies and backend architecture.
- Manage integrations with 4-5 external systems to support enterprise contact data (Java, PostgreSQL).
- Support ETL processes and nightly batch jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
- Agile Delivery
- Facilitate three separate scrum ceremonies, grooming sessions, and release trains.
- Conduct sprint planning, capacity management, and blocker resolution across teams.
- Maintain alignment across three product owners with varying priorities and planning styles.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with product owners.
- Advocate for development teams by setting realistic expectations and pushing back when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure roadmap clarity and delivery feasibility.
- Technical Oversight
- Understand and evaluate complex data models to guide team decisions and mitigate risks.
- Provide input on database architecture, data processing, and ingestion strategies.
- Support transition from Informatica to proprietary database solutions; AWS and PostgreSQL experience preferred.
- Team Leadership
- Lead a distributed team of backend developers, QA engineers, and DBAs (Denver-based and offshore).
- Foster a collaborative and communicative team culture.
- Mentor team members in Scrum Master practices and agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical program or project management within data-heavy environments.
- Familiarity with backend systems (Java, PostgreSQL) and API layers (GraphQL exposure a plus).
- Experience with ETL tools and data migration (Informatica preferred).
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks and scrum ceremonies.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities with diplomacy and confidence.
- Tools: Jira, Confluence (or equivalent ticketing/documentation systems).
