POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tooling: Prototype and CNC Mill/EDM Specialist is responsible to support the Toolroom and Manufacturing by creating fixtures, prototypes or samples of potential new products for customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with new product development for samples, prototypes and tooling.

Works with weld fixtures, pin gauges, one-hit dimple dies, and other welding support.

Operates machines as needed.

Design tooling and fixtures utilizing CAD-CAM/Solidworks software

Operate CNC and EDM machines to support the Tool Room and Manufacturing needs

Support other tooling projects as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

AS degree in Engineering Technology desired or equivalent work experience

One year minimum of manufacturing experience

Sheet metal experience desired

ERP System experience desired

Green Belt desired

3D CAD experience (Solidworks desired)

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Quality Management System, quality procedures, requirements, work instructions, and other required documentation must be followed. Team members are responsible to be aware of the company's quality policy and quality objectives to support the continuous improvement projects and contribute to the overall mission of the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.

Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, and reaching.

PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
