Job Title: Automation Developer/Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Interview Process: One & done.
About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced Automation Developer/Analyst with a strong background in backend automation.
- This role is ideal for professionals who excel in API automation and Java-based frameworks. Unlike traditional QA roles, this position is strictly focused on backend automation, "NO frontend testing, Selenium, or UAT".
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend automation frameworks with a focus on APIs.
- Implement automation solutions using tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, JUnit5, and Cucumber.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code primarily in Java (with additional exposure to JavaScript or Python).
- Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand requirements, create test plans, and optimize workflows.
- Perform thorough API testing to ensure system reliability and integration efficiency.
- Document automation processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum environment and align with DevOps practices for CI/CD integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT or business process automation.
- Proficiency in backend automation tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, JUnit5, and Cucumber, or similar tools requiring programming.
- Strong programming knowledge in Java; exposure to JavaScript, Python, or related languages is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in API testing and backend system validation.
- Strong understanding of process mapping, business analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
