Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job
This position is onsite and located at our Headquarters in San Diego, CA. Remote or Hybrid is not available for this role.

We are seeking a QA Engineer with a strong background in testing web and mobile applications, particularly in the online banking domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation frameworks of either UI or API, and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure, and user-friendly digital banking experiences. Experience with low-code/no-code automation platforms like Testim is a plus. You'll be joining a fast-paced quality engineering team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

In our quality engineering organization, we are on a journey from traditional QA to modern QE. This transformation emphasizes test automation, AI-driven test case generation, and robust test data management. We proactively tackle challenges like stabilizing test environments and scaling automation using tools such as Testim and Postman. Our engineers are empowered to take ownership, innovate with purpose, and continuously raise the bar for quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other quality engineers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, report bugs, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
  • Monitor application performance and reliability across platforms.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in all testing activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one area of automation: UI automation using frameworks like Selenium or Cypress, mobile automation using Appium, or API automation using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Testing in both web UI and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Experience working with SQL databases for test data validation and backend verification.
  • Familiarity with AI fundamentals and AI usage in software testing
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Banking or fintech industry is a plus!
  • Exposure to low-code/no-code automation platforms such as Testim is a plus.
