Quality Auditor

12 months with possible ext. or conversion

Schedule: M- F 8am to 5pm.

  • Top 3 Skills: Tech Savvy with Excel, will also be on the FLOOR in a quality auditor aspect (NOT an engineer) there will be hands on labor on the floor with others they will work alongside engineers but we will not be reviewing Engineer resumes this is a lower level role.
  • Customer Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and testing products, outbound shipments, consolidated pallets and overseeing operations for the Columbia Missouri plant to ensure they meet production standards.
  • Performs product and in-process inspection audits using basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators, Symphony drawing specifications, Process Control Plans and Product Quality Control plans.
  • Responsible for improving audit plans along with the Quality Engineers and execution documentation detailing preparation, and operation instructions for other inspection personnel.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of product, outbound shipments and in process inspections activities or audits.
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of Quality Controls such as Poka Yokes and Jidokas.
  • Support capability studies and Perform Gage R&R Studies
  • Provide tooling and process recommendations to optimize product and In process inspections.
  • Adopt digital quality tools to optimize identified areas for improvement in the quality system. Removing products that don t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
  • Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the Continues Improvement teams.
  • Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
  • Responsibilities also include product inspections, process improvement tasks, supplier quality inspections, and reviewing orders for special customer requirement compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators.
  • Interpret blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications for measurement feasibility.
  • Effectively use computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality.
