Job Details

Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Columbia, South Carolina
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Mode of Interview: 1 round, Virtual/Online.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Test Design and Strategy

  • Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, QA, and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
  • Test Case Development (5+ Yrs): Responsible for translating business requirements or policy documentation into detailed test cases and scenarios and building these into test systems.
  • Traceability: Develop and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases back to requirements and system designs/software components.
  • Testing Execution: Design and support both user interface testing of applications and regression testing.
  • Quality Focus: Implement testing programs focusing on reliability, stability, negative testing, and usability.

Healthcare Domain and Project Tools

  • Healthcare Knowledge (3+ Yrs): Possess deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) and associated business processes.
  • Testing Tools (3+ Yrs): Proficient in the use of manual or automated testing tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
  • SDLC Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working in both a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an AGILE delivery environment.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Defect Management: Participate actively in defect triage, retest, and resolution.
  • Governance: Adhere to established software testing governance policies and best practices, and perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections to governance standards.
  • Reporting: Create required quality assurance documentation and reports and communicate/publish status reports of all open issues and gaps to development teams.

Test Case Design

5 Years (Required)

Translating business requirements/policy into test cases and building them into test systems.

Healthcare Operations

3 Years (Required)

Deep knowledge of healthcare operations and business processes (preferably Medicaid).

Testing Tools

3 Years (Required)

Proficient in manual/automated testing tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence.

Enterprise Systems

5+ Years (Preferred)

Large enterprise or e-business systems experience.

Methodology

3+ Years (Preferred)

Prior experience in both Waterfall and AGILE delivery.
