Quality Assurance Consultant

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant for a Contract job with a client in Addison, TX (Hybrid). Responsibilities include designing, writing, and debugging Java automation tests, executing and managing test cases using Selenium and SoapUI, and ensuring effective test planning, execution, and defect tracking.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Assurance Consultant job responsibilities include:

• Designing, writing, maintaining, and executing Java automation tests on Selenium.
• Creating and managing test cases and large test suites using SoapUI.
• Performing manual and regression testing, ensuring thorough test coverage and defect tracking.
• Automating UI, services, and database solutions for comprehensive test execution.
• Collaborating with development teams to implement process improvements and risk-based testing.
• Managing end-to-end test life cycle using tools such as Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Conducting backend application testing of Oracle and Cassandra databases.
• Providing written and verbal reports on testing outcomes, issues, and improvements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in Core Java, Selenium, and Soap/Rest Webservices.
• Strong experience with SQL, backend application testing, and tools such as Confluence, Jira, Maven, and Jenkins.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
