RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Engineer 5 in Kansas City, KS.
Responsibilities:
* Quality Engineer 5 will fix supplier quality and engineering issues impacting GCA, Direct Run and Warranty
* Solve problems using Red X and other tools as applicable
* Assist production in preventing defects and recommend process improvements
* Collaborate with suppliers on SPPSs and ensure robust corrective action
* Share Lessons Learned with Engineering to prevent repeat design or build issues
* Review nonconforming parts and sub-assemblies for proper initial disposition and root cause
* As a Quality Engineer 5, you will coordinate periodic system and process audits at the plant and supplier facilities
* Coordinate engineering change implementation; Assist in running PTRs (Production Trial Run)
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
* Open to any years of experience
* Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
* Excel skills and computer skills are required; Working with a lot of spreadsheets and map data (3d prints and analyzing that); A bit of computer programing
* Some familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports
* Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability
* Team player and detail oriented
* Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
