RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly skilled Quest Migration Engineer to lead and execute enterprise-scale Active Directory and Exchange migrations using Quest migration tools. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage complex migration projects across multiple domains and environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, configure, and execute migrations using Quest Migration Manager and related Quest tools
* Perform Active Directory domain consolidations, Exchange migrations, and hybrid identity integrations
* Troubleshoot migration issues, analyze logs, and implement corrective actions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient migration processes
* Develop and maintain migration documentation, including runbooks and rollback plans
* Provide status updates, metrics, and escalation support to project stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with organizational security and retention policies during migration
REQUIREMENTS:
* Quest Migration Manager for Active Directory required
* Quest Migration Manager for Exchange required
* 8+ years of experience in Active Directory and Exchange migrations
* Strong knowledge of AD DS, GPOs, DNS, trusts, replication, and SID history
* Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID and hybrid identity solutions
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
* Large-scale, multi-domain migration projects
* Familiarity with security hardening and compliance standards
* Experience with coexistence strategies and staged cutovers
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
