Qualifications

  • Hands-on Amazon AWS experience managing Windows EC2s
  • Experience with AWS Systems Manager, AWS RDS, AWS FsX
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch monitoring
  • Experience managing ODBC connections or other forms of connectivity to relational databases
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools, particularly QlikSense and/or QuickSight
  • Understanding of SAML/SSO and leveraging attributes to provide user authorization
  • Nice to have: familiarity with scripting languages, particularly Bash or Python
  • Nice to have:Familiarity with relational databases and ability to debug SQL scripts
  • Ability to work with users directly to help diagnose issues with user system access or failing database queries.

Responsibilities

  • Build new QlikSense data connections in a multi-step process involving cross account networking, ODBC on multiple servers, and Qlik software configuration.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise on existing connections
  • Respond to CloudWatch alerts and determine course of action
  • Contribute to active management of QlikSense servers
  • Build new QuickSight data connections in a mutli-step process involving AWS CLI, AWS networking, database permissions, and QuickSight permission management
  • Assistance with testing and deploying QuickSight namespaces for regional asset management
  • Management of QuickSight assets within assigned region or at global QuickSight level
  • A plus would be an ability to contribute to automation of AWS processes above
