Job Title: Cloud Migration Engineer

Contract-to-Hire: 6-Month Contract with Extensions

What's the Job?

  • Lead the migration of the platform from AWS to Google Cloud Platform, focusing on GKE-based Evergreen platform.
  • Refactor existing AWS Terraform configurations into Google Cloud Platform-native modules to ensure seamless infrastructure transition.
  • Develop and implement GitHub Actions pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and application deployment automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DRE, Application, Security, and FinOps to align on security, cost management, and reliability standards.
  • Create reusable, well-documented Terraform and Helm modules to support ongoing and future migrations.

What's Needed?

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions, and OIDC integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), GKE, Helm, and Argo CD.
  • Strong understanding of security practices, IAM, secrets management, and observability tools like OpenTelemetry and New Relic.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
