Job Details
Position: Data Modeler
Location: United States (Remote)
Experience: 10+ years
Mandatory: Snowflake Data Warehouse, Azure, SQL, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing (DW) Concepts
Desired: Power BI, Matillion, Data Lake House Architecture, Healthcare Claims (Payer's domain), Dimensional Modelling, Canonical Model Building
Duties:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories
- Analyze source systems and define target schemas in Snowflake
- Lead data warehouse migration from legacy platforms to Snowflake
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements
- Implement data governance-compliant schemas
- Support ETL processes and data warehousing initiatives
- Apply industry best practices for data modeling and database design
- Use tools like Matillion, Visio, and BPMN for documentation and modeling
- Translate business needs into optimized data structures for analytics and reporting
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing
- Proven expertise in Snowflake, Azure, and SQL
- Experience in Healthcare Payers domain is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Power BI, Matillion, and lakehouse architecture
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and canonical models
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Relevant certifications in data platforms or cloud technologies are a plus
