Research Associate II- iPSC

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Research Associate II for a contract assignment with one of our premier Pharmaceutical services clients in South San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities :

• We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support the centralized cell banking and distribution team for Research and Early Development at the firm.
• The focus will be to use a variety of culturing techniques to expand, bank, Quality Control, characterize and distribute advanced cellular models within Research.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in culturing a variety of cell lines and advanced cellular models, molecular, biochemical techniques and some automation experience.
• The candidate will be expected to frequently interact and communicate with other groups as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills:

• BS or MS in life sciences
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture 2 years or more
• Adept with FACs, IF staining, RT-PCR, biochemical assays, DNA & RNA extraction
• Familiar with LIMS and proficient with database maintenance
• Clear oral communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

• 1 years or more of hands-on experience with optimizing, scaling up of cell lines, organoids and iPSCs
• In depth knowledge of cell lines and advance model QCs - karyotyping, tri-lineage differentiation, pluripotency testing, mycoplasma, authentication
• Automation Experience
