About the role
As a Risk and Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring regulatory adherence and operational risks by analyzing data, conducting audits, and supporting the development of control frameworks that protect business integrity and ensure compliance across functions. You will be a key member of our telecom operations team, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies to uphold compliance standards.

In this role, you will:
Ensure adherence to all Indian telecom laws, licenses, and guidelines from TRAI, DoT, and other relevant bodies.
Monitor and interpret evolving telecom regulations and their operational impact, implementing necessary adjustments.
Manage and coordinate telecom compliance audits, regulatory filings, and reporting.
Lead the procurement of telecom resources, ensuring regulatory compliance and vendor management.
Oversee data center operations and telecom infrastructure to ensure alignment with regulatory and security standards.
Perform root cause analysis on compliance deviations and manage resolution through ticketing systems.
Define and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all telecom compliance functions.
Develop dashboards and reports to monitor telecom compliance KPIs and provide data-driven insights.
Support internal and external audits related to telecom regulatory compliance.
Serve as a primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, vendors, and internal teams.

What you need to have to be considered
Postgraduate degree, with an MBA preferred.
3-5 years of experience in backend operations with significant expertise in telecom infrastructure and regulatory compliance.
In-depth knowledge of Indian telecom regulations (TRAI, DoT), licensing, and compliance frameworks.
Expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and SLA monitoring.
Strong understanding of telecom network architecture, data center infrastructure, and security standards.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and basic project management methodologies.
Effective communication skills to bridge the gap between technical, operational, and regulatory stakeholders.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, telecom regulatory compliance certifications).
Exceptional analytical and reporting skills to interpret data and create comprehensive dashboards.

The annual salary for this position is between $73,000.00 - $83,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
