Job Details
Position Title: Ruby on Rails Tech Lead
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 plus months contract with possible extension
Role Summary:
Lead the integration of a newly acquired Ruby on Rails product with an existing Java-based application, providing technical leadership and driving cross-team alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end integration between Ruby on Rails and Java platforms
- Define integration architecture, roadmap, and long-term strategy
- Act as the technical bridge between RoR and Java teams
- Recommend scalable, secure, and high-performance integration approaches
- Resolve cross-platform issues and guide teams through the integration lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software development and architecture experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Java
- Expertise in system integration, microservices, APIs, and cloud deployments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Exposure to AI tools for productivity or design optimization (plus)
