SAP FI Architecture Lead (Data-Focused)

We are seeking an expert SAP FI Architecture Lead who specializes in data-centric financial transformations and robust data management. This role bridges finance process expertise with technical data architecture to ensure successful delivery of large-scale SAP FI initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep FI knowledge with hands-on experience in data migration, integration, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Architecture and Design

• Define and document end-to-end SAP FI solution architecture with a strong emphasis on data constructs.
• Align solution designs with business needs, regulatory/compliance requirements, and SAP best practices.
• Guide FI integration with other SAP modules and external systems, ensuring cohesive end-to-end processes.

Data Management and Migration

• Lead strategic planning and execution of data migration for financial objects during upgrades or transformations.
• Collaborate with DMLT teams to manage extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading of financial data.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reconciliation between legacy sources and target systems.

Governance and Controls

• Establish and enforce data quality, governance, and compliance standards within SAP FI environments.
• Support audit, reporting, and regulatory requirements through robust data design and traceability.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Partner with functional consultants, data migration specialists, and business stakeholders to propel finance-related data initiatives.
• Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven background as an SAP FI Architect with a strong emphasis on data and migration programs.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO processes (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Closing Activities) and their data implications.
• Demonstrated expertise in data migration strategy, reconciliation, and validation for financial data.
• Proficiency with SAP data tooling (e.g., DMLT, Migration Cockpit, S/4HANA migration utilities).
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and compliant financial data architectures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading S/4HANA Finance transformations.
• Exposure to Central Finance (CFIN) and related migration scenarios.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements (SOX, IFRS, GAAP).
• History of contributing to large, global SAP programs with complex landscapes.
