Client is seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant with a strong background in AMS support and a working knowledge of ABAP debugging. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Financial Accounting modules, supporting global business operations in a dynamic and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 AMS support for SAP FI module, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Taxation.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring issues.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with financial controls and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP CO, MM, SD, and Basis for integrated issue resolution.
- Use basic ABAP debugging skills to identify the cause of functional issues and communicate effectively with the technical team.
- Participate in change requests, enhancements, and minor projects including functional specification preparation and testing.
- Ensure documentation of solutions, processes, and best practices in accordance with ITIL/ITSM standards.
- Provide training and guidance to junior consultants or business users when necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FI with a focus on AMS/Production Support.
- Strong knowledge in SAP FI core areas: GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking, Taxation, and Financial Closing.
- Good understanding of integration points between FI and other SAP modules.
- Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management processes.
- Proficiency in basic ABAP debugging to analyze issues and support development teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global support model.
- Strong documentation and customer interaction skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment is a plus.
- ITIL certification is advantageous.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
