Job Title: SAP MM Consultant
Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site/Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months with ext
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) Consultant to support and enhance its SAP ECC 6.0 environment. The consultant will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and inventory processes, working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams to implement improvements and ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM configurations and solutions.
  • Configure and maintain core SAP MM functions such as Purchasing (P2P), Inventory Management, Material Master Data, Vendor Master, and Release Strategies.
  • Support Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, Stock Transfers, and Movement Types.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and warehouse operations to optimize MM processes.
  • Work closely with other SAP functional consultants (FICO, SD, PM, etc.) for integration and end-to-end business process support.
  • Develop functional specifications for custom enhancements and collaborate with ABAP developers to implement them.
  • Perform system testing, user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure SAP MM processes comply with internal controls and public sector procurement policies.
  • Provide day-to-day SAP MM production support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and data migration efforts as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience, including at least two full lifecycle implementations.
  • Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
  • Experience with Public Sector or Government procurement processes is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SAP MM integration with FICO, SD, and other modules.
  • Experience creating Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Service Entry Sheets, and Contracts.
  • Familiarity with SAP reporting tools and standard MM reports.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of SAP Public Sector Management (PSM) functionalities.
  • Experience working with City of Los Angeles systems or other municipal government entities.
  • Familiarity with SAP SRM, workflow management, and vendor portal integration.
  • Prior experience working with LAWA is a strong plus.
