Job Description:
SAP MM Purchasing Specialist
Location: Remote with as-needed travel to client in Norfolk, VA
Estimated Duration: 3 month contract to hire
Industry: Federal defense

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Materials Management (Purchasing) Functional Consultant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Master Data Setup: Material Master: Create and maintain material master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Business Partner (BP): Manage BP master data, including vendors and customers. Purchase Info Record (PIR): Set up and maintain PIRs to ensure accurate purchasing information. Source List: Configure and manage source lists to optimize procurement processes. Authorization Groups for Sensitive Data: Implement and manage authorization groups to protect sensitive data. Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulations. Material Creation Flow: Develop and optimize material creation workflows. Ensure efficient and accurate material creation processes. Class and Characteristic Setup: Configure classes and characteristics for materials. Maintain consistency and accuracy in material classification. IDOC Mapping: Design and implement IDOC mappings for data exchange. Ensure reliable and accurate data transfer between systems. Multiple Interfaces (FLIS, DLMS, DAAS, NERP, Vendor ASN): Manage and integrate multiple interfaces, including FLIS, DLMS, DAAS, NERP, and Vendor ASN. Ensure seamless data flow and communication between systems. Document Management System: Implement and manage document management systems for drawings by revision level. Ensure accurate and efficient document handling and storage. Credit Card Purchasing: Configure and manage credit card purchasing processes. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Vendor Lead Time Trends and Adjustments: Analyze vendor lead time trends and make necessary adjustments. Optimize procurement processes based on vendor performance.

- Design, configure, and implement workflows for requisition approval processes.
- Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
- Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) with a focus on purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration and integration with other SAP modules.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing workflows for requisition approval.
- Excellent understanding of master data setup, including material, BP, PIR, and source list.
- Experience with authorization groups, material creation flow, class and characteristic setup, IDOC mapping, and multiple interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP certification in Materials Management.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of other SAP modules such as SD, PP, and WM.
