SAP Production Planning Functional Consultant

Location: Norfolk, VA (open to Remote candidates)

Employment Type: Contract to Perm

Employment Length: 3 month (conversion based on performance)

Pay: $70-80/hr experience dependent

Conversion expectation: $160-180k

Schedule: 40 hour week weeks, standard work week M-F

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Production Planning Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and a strong understanding of the following key areas:

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Requirements Planning (MRP):
  • Design, configure, and implement MRP processes.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient planning of materials to meet production demands.
• Material Reservations:
  • Manage and optimize material reservation processes.
  • Ensure materials are reserved accurately and efficiently for production orders.
• Master Data Management:
  • Routing: Create and maintain routing master data to ensure accurate production processes.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM): Develop and manage BOMs for various products.
  • Production Versions: Configure and maintain production versions for different manufacturing scenarios.
  • Material Master: Ensure accurate and consistent material master data.
• IDOC Mapping:
  • Design and implement IDOC mappings for data exchange.
  • Ensure reliable and accurate data transfer between systems.
• NERP Integration:
  • Forecasting: Implement and manage forecasting processes to predict future production needs.
  • Demand Planning: Develop and optimize demand planning processes.
  • Production Orders: Configure and manage production order processes to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• Secret clearance or ability to obtain
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) with a focus on functional consulting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP configuration and integration with other SAP modules.
• Proven experience in MRP, material reservations, and master data management.
• Excellent understanding of IDOC mapping and NERP integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in Production Planning.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and QM.
