Position: Program Manager SAP Basis & Cloud Operations
Location: US Onshore/100% Remote, should be willing to work in US Pacific Time
Contract duration: 6+ Months

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and coordinate strategic initiatives across a global SAP Basis and Infrastructure team. This role will manage projects across SAP landscape operations, cloud platform integrations, and Basis architecture transformation ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and technology standards.
The ideal candidate will bring deep program management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of SAP Basis operations and AWS infrastructure. You will work closely with Basis engineers, SAP functional teams, infrastructure/cloud architects, and leadership to plan and execute high-visibility programs in a complex, regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive program execution and cross-functional collaboration for SAP Basis modernization and optimization efforts

  • Manage complex technical projects related to SAP upgrades, migrations, patching cycles, and AWS cloud platform integration

  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, risks, and resource plans; proactively manage timelines and budgets

  • Lead program governance efforts, including status reporting, executive updates, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Facilitate coordination across IT infrastructure, SAP Basis, application, and business teams

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise cloud strategies and security/compliance standards

  • Support vendor coordination, contract deliverables, and third-party workstreams as needed

  • Act as a point of escalation and provide resolution leadership for program-related issues


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of IT Program or Project Management experience, ideally in a large enterprise

  • Proven experience managing SAP Basis programs, including upgrades, HANA migrations, and support pack implementations

  • Solid understanding of SAP architecture, technical components, and infrastructure dependencies

  • Hands-on experience working with or managing SAP deployments on AWS Cloud (including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure operations, DevOps practices, and systems reliability approaches

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, remote global teams

  • Experience in regulated or life sciences environments is a plus


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or other Project Management certification

  • Experience with SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Solution Manager

  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and SAP Cloud ALM

  • Previous experience working with third-party vendors or AMS providers
