Job Description:
Overview
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, revenue accountants, and finance teams to analyze requirements.
- Configure, customize, and integrate SAP RAR to support revenue recognition processes.
- Ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15).
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze revenue recognition requirements.
- Understand business processes and regulatory requirements for revenue accounting and reporting.
Solution Design
- Design SAP RAR solutions based on business needs and best practices.
- Create technical specifications and documentation for RAR configurations and customizations.
Configuration & Customization
- Configure SAP RAR modules: Contract & Performance Obligation Management, Revenue Recognition, Revenue Reporting.
- Customize SAP RAR functionalities and develop enhancements using ABAP when required.
- Develop and maintain RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
Integration
- Integrate SAP RAR with SD, FICO, SCM, and external systems (CRM, ERP).
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow.
Testing & Deployment
- Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing for SAP RAR solutions.
- Prepare and execute deployment plans with stakeholders.
Support & Maintenance
- Provide ongoing technical support and resolve user issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
Training & Documentation
- Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions.
- Document SAP RAR configurations, procedures, and enhancements for knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- SAP RAR certification highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an SAP RAR Consultant/Developer with implementation project exposure.
- Strong knowledge of SAP RAR configurations, customizations, and integrations.
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming for SAP RAR enhancements (a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
