Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in FI/CO General Ledger (GL) to design, develop, and implement custom solutions that support our finance processes. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of ABAP on HANA, coupled with an understanding of financial accounting (FI-GL) in an S/4HANA environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP programs, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services specific to SAP FI/GL processes.

  • Design and implement RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) to meet GL business requirements.

  • Collaborate with SAP FI/CO functional teams to understand financial reporting and ledger requirements.

  • Support data migration for GL master data and transactional data during S/4HANA implementation or conversion projects.

  • Perform code optimization and remediation for S/4HANA systems to ensure performance and compliance with SAP best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to FI/GL ABAP developments.

  • Ensure seamless integration of GL processes with other modules (MM, SD, CO, etc.).

  • Prepare technical specifications, documentation, and testing scripts for all custom developments.

  • Support SAP Fiori app enablement by developing/consuming backend services.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including ABAP on HANA techniques.

  • 5+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience with a focus on Finance (FI) and General Ledger (GL).

  • Strong knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and HANA database performance tuning.

  • Experience with enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and custom workflows.

  • Familiarity with SAP FI/CO business processes (GL postings, financial reporting, reconciliations).

  • Good understanding of data migration tools (LSMW, BODS, or Migration Cockpit).

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical designs.

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
