Description:

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS/IS (BusinessObjects Data Services/Information Steward) and BOBJ/BOBI (BusinessObjects Business Intelligence) Migration Admin SME with strong expertise in administration, upgrades, and end-to-end migration projects. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, perform complex system administration tasks, and ensure high availability and performance of SAP BO landscapes.

The role also involves working closely with project teams to migrate from cloud-to-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or SAP NS2) and support system integration in secure, compliance-driven landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Migration Admin SME for SAP BODS/IS and SAP BOBJ/BOBI platforms.

Perform installation, configuration, migration, patching, and upgrades of SAP BO systems (BODS/IS & BOBJ/BOBI 4.2/4.3).

Manage migrations from cloud to cloud (e.g., AWS GovCloud, SAP NS2, Azure) ensuring compliance with FedRAMP/DoD IL requirements.

Oversee system copies, backup/restore, and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot BODS/IS and BOBJ/BOBI landscapes for performance and stability.

Integrate with SAP HANA and other data sources while ensuring data governance, encryption, and security compliance.

Support BI content migration, report validation, and user authorization management.

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues.

Collaborate with BASIS, Security, and Network teams for end-to-end solution delivery.

Maintain documentation, runbooks, and system architecture diagrams.

Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, DISA IATT/A&A requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ/BOBI) administration and BODS/IS.

Proven migration experience (Cloud ? Cloud, cross-platform, or large-scale upgrades).

Strong experience in BODS/IS data integration, job scheduling, and performance optimization.

Expertise in BOBJ/BOBI tools (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Analysis for Office, Lumira).

Deep understanding of landscape design, clustering, and high availability setup.

Strong knowledge of HANA integration with BODS/IS/BOBJ/BOBI.

Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Shell/PowerShell).

Experience in secure environments (DoD/NS2) with compliance (FedRAMP, DISA STIGs).

Excellent communication skills with ability to lead technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP cloud migrations (SAP NS2, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government).

Background in performance tuning, large dataset handling, and data quality management.

Knowledge of SAP BW, S/4HANA reporting integration with BOBJ/BOBI/BODS/IS.

Certifications in SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BODS/IS, AWS/Azure, or Security+.
