Description
We are looking for a skilled SCADA Analyst to join our team in Floresville, Texas. This role involves managing, optimizing, and securing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to support critical operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA systems, including servers, databases, and communication networks, to ensure reliable operations.
Monitor system performance and ensure accurate data collection to support informed decision-making processes.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate new devices, technologies, and protocols into SCADA systems.
Create and update documentation such as system configurations, operational procedures, and compliance reports.
Implement cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA infrastructure against potential threats.
Provide technical support and training to team members on the functionality and utilization of SCADA systems.
Analyze system issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
Ensure compliance with NERC standards and other regulatory requirements related to SCADA operations.
Work with GIS data, including ArcGIS Server and LiDAR, to enhance system functionality.
Manage networking protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and DNP3 to maintain effective communication within the system.
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience working with SCADA systems in electric utility or industrial environments.
Proficiency in networking, database management, and communication protocols like DNP3, Modbus, and TCP/IP.
Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS Server and LiDAR for spatial data analysis.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and NERC standards applicable to SCADA systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Experience with Active Directory and other system management tools is a plus.
