Job Description
Title: SCADA SME
Location: Houston, TX/Travel
Duration: 6-12+ months+
Note:
- Duration: Starting ASAP until 12/31/2025. Possibility for extension.
- Travel two weeks per month to the client in Houston, TX. Travel expenses covered.
Contract Description:
The SCADA Subject Matter Resource will serve as an expert in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, providing specialized knowledge and support for the implementation and optimization of SCADA solutions within the client's operations. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to enhance system performance, ensure data integrity, and facilitate the integration of SCADA with other production systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on SCADA system design, implementation, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve SCADA-related issues and improve system performance.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff to enhance their understanding of SCADA functionalities and best practices.
- Analyze system data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in operational processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to SCADA system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to SCADA systems and data management.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working with SCADA systems in industrial environments, preferably in oil and gas or similar sectors.
- Knowledge and hands on experience with IGNITION and/or XSPOC.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools used in SCADA environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to SCADA systems and data protection.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including data visualization platforms and database management systems.
- Ability to travel to the client in Houston, TX two weeks per month.
