Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in electronic assembly, is seeking an SMT Machine Operator to join their team. As an SMT Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: SMT Machine Operator

Location: Portland

Pay Range: $20/hr

Shift: Mon-Fri 5am-1:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate and maintain Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines used in PCB assembly
  • Set up, program, and calibrate SMT equipment for production runs
  • Load electronic component reels and verify material supply
  • Conduct visual inspections of assembled boards to ensure quality standards
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SMT machinery

What's Needed?

  • 1-2 years of experience with SMT lines, including Momentum printers and MyDATA machines is a plus
  • Understanding of SMT operations, equipment setup, and workstation hygiene
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and diagrams
  • Strong manual dexterity and good eyesight for working with small components
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant certifications preferred
