Role: SQL DB Architect

Contract Hybrid (3 days a week WFO)

Location Seattle, WA / Hartford, CT / Dallas, TX / Edison, NJ

Responsibilities:

13 years of IT experience including more than 5 years specializing in Azure Database Migration I have effectively led managed and governed technical teams I am available to provide 24x7 support and am flexible with shift work

Primary Skills

  • Understanding customer DB SQL server landscape
  • Configuring SQL Server HADR FCI AG in Azure across multiple subnets and regions including Availability set
  • Configuring and administering SecurityPoliciesResource GoverningAzure Key Vault
  • Migrating SQL Server from OnPremises to Azure Cloud using DMA DMS Azure Data Studio Log shipping Backup restore and various migration methods
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders customer stakeholders and project managers to understand migration requirements and provide optimal solutions
  • Driving cloud solution activities for largescale complex migrations
  • Planning Storage and Capacity Management creating logical models and building physical models
  • Installing and configuring all versions of SQL Server 200x to 2022
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows and SQL servers

Secondary Skills

  • Designing implementing and operating database systems for performance and reliability in Azure
  • Upgrading SQL Server from legacy versions to latest versions in Azure both OnPremCloud
  • Proficient in TSQL scripting and PowerShell scripting
  • Strong understanding of database performance using various tools
  • Ensuring compliance with client expectations

Certifications Preferred

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Associate
  • DP300 Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions
  • AZ305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
