Job Title: SQL Data Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SQL Data Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth. In this role, you ll collaborate with financial professionals to deliver robust data solutions. Your work will focus on data extraction, transformation, query optimization, and database architecture. We re looking for someone with a strong foundation in Microsoft SQL Server, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with financial professionals to gather and define requirements for data projects
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Design and maintain database architecture: tables, stored procedures, triggers, UDFs, and complex queries
- Analyze and optimize suboptimal queries to improve performance
- Develop tools to support data analysis, including Excel queries and macros
- Perform routine database maintenance: backups, maintenance plans, and security controls
- Contribute creatively to solving complex data challenges
- Participate in internal training programs, evaluate technical tests, and mentor new team members on SQL best practices
What You Need to Succeed
- 3 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Stable work history with demonstrated long-term commitment
- Ability to work 50 hours per week on-site in Fort Worth, TX
- Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or a related field
