Proficient in AWS devops engineering.
50% devops and 50% platforms
Quarterly production, releases Experience in CI/CD (expertise), groovy (expertise), cloud bees and Jenkins (expertise), python, Kubernetes where they deploy code.
Doing documentation and make sure properly documented based on CI/CD process.
3+ Years of minimum Devops engineering experience and as senior as they are fine with that based on resume.
Good to have knowledge on java application they are not going to code so, java is (nice to have)
Need to have experience for platform engineering Amazon EKS
write now they are using VMware Tanzu platform, Migrating from VMware Tanzu to AWS EKS
How AWS EKS services worked, Dealing with Linux, troubleshooting, patching and basic knowledge on Linux and windows.
Working with FEP bridge Corporate CareFirst, DBA, network, cloud engineer, BA, QA and infra team.
Sending out notification external team member when there is any release happen
Working with QA folks for troubleshooting.

JD:
PURPOSE:
System Engineer responsibilities involve collaborating with application, development, database, and security teams, as well as other IT teams, to implement automation services across Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms.
This position requires an understanding of all aspects of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and CI/CD processes. The role involves implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate application deployments. Responsibilities include monitoring, supporting, and optimizing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS EKS Kubernetes, and other AWS services according to application requirements.
The position requires a comprehensive foundational IT skillset, including experience with AWS Cloud services, Linux and Windows operating systems, server configurations-such as networking, storage, and security principles-and Kubernetes platforms like EKS. The role also necessitates familiarity with key IT services including Disaster Recovery, Active Directory, DNS, IaaS, PaaS, and Containers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
30% Installs, tunes, upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains CI/CD pipelines, performs application release deployments in Test and Production environments. Submit change management tickets, represent on the CAB calls.
60% Write and maintain automation scripts in Python, Groovy, AWS CloudFormation, Bash Shell to streamline operational processes and deployments. Collaborate with development and testing teams to enhance system scalability, performance, and reliability. Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows-based production environments. Support container orchestration platforms such as Podman and Kubernetes and develop POC using AWS Services. Determine systems integration issues by evaluating components.
10% Support disaster recovery and audits. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud services. Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's Information Technology Degree or 5 years of relevant work experience
Experience: 5 years of software, DevOps and/or cloud systems engineering
Must have cross platform enterprise experience across IT (Server, Network, Storage, Security).
Must be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills complimenting a passion for learning/sharing information from and with peers.
Must be able to be available for weekend support based on the application release deployments and maintenance activities. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially with Jenkins using Groovy, Expert
Understanding of container-based technologies, especially Kubernetes, AWS CloudFormation, Podman, AWS EKS, Expert & Proficient
Understanding of microservice concepts, Proficient
Scripting skills (Bash, Python), Expert
Technical knowledge of AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, Sagemaker, Bedrock), including monitoring and analytics tools such as AWS CloudWatch
Experience with code management systems (Git) - Expert
Experience maintaining Java web applications (Spring Boot)
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal., Proficient
