Safety Officer - heavy civil / pipelines
Location: San Jose, CA
Job Title: Safety Officer
Salary: $90k - $130k DOE, Benefits, 401k, Car Allowance, etc..
Requirements: 3+ Years of Safety Management experience, preferably in Heavy Civil Construction; project values up to $30M

What You Will Be DoingIn this role, you will be responsible for:
" Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed in accordance with industry standards
" Planning and implementation of EHS policies and programs
" Safety on-boarding processes
" Risk assessments
" Preventative safety
" Process improvements
" Site inspections
" Accident/violation reporting and investigations
" Oversee workplace repair and installations
What You Need for this Position" Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed in accordance with industry standards
" Planning and implementation of EHS policies and programs
" Safety on-boarding processes
" Risk assessments
" Preventative safety
" Process improvements
" Site inspections
" Accident/violation reporting and investigations
" Oversee workplace repair and installations
At least 3 years of experience in a Safety Coordinator/Manager role, as well as a strong understanding of safety rules and regulations. Knowledge of heavy civil construction, and excellent problem solving and communication skills are also necessary. Certified Trainer preferred but not required, or complete OSHA30.
