Job Details

Responsible for new business development and revenue growth in existing key accounts from pipeline development to deal closure. This is an individual contributor role with the responsibility for selling our EdTech services and products and the ideal candidate will have a background in positioning managed IT Services while striving to expand the company's brand and overall solutions in the educational space. You will work with internal stakeholders to craft the strategy and guide the team with your market knowledge to present the appropriate winning responses.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Magic EdTech as a premier provider of managed EdTech IT Solutions and Services.

Develop account plans for key assigned clients, identifying areas of opportunity and go to market strategy.

Develop working relationships with consultants, partners, and influencers.

Establish relationships with key client executives to create excitement for Magic EdTech resulting in greater awareness, credibility, and business opportunities.

Work with internal stakeholders in pursuit of business opportunities.

Become a trusted advisor with key clients by displaying deep subject matter knowledge of Magic EdTech services, products, and relevant case studies.

Attend trade shows, associations, conferences as appropriate.

Lead the response engagement team for RFIs, RFPs and present competitive and winning proposals.

Update and track all activities in the company CRM system.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Minimum of 5-7 years sales experience and familiarity with account management in the EdTech/Publishing/IT Services space.

Prior experience with top 5 publishing companies is a plus.

Have a ready Rolodex and existing client relationships which can be used to sell Magic's services.

Someone who understands the EdTech space and its facets.

Experience in selling complex consulting solutions, content, technology managed services.

Experience in working with cross-sectional and geographically dispersed teams in previous organizations.

Track record of goal / over-achievement of scorecard and building sustained client relationships.

Maintaining a high client retention rate through strong senior executive relationship skills and leadership.

Energetic and passionate to achieve goals and client loyalty.

Strong business orientation, judgment, and acumen.

Outstanding interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate and work at the “C” Level of complex, global organizations.
