Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Architect to design, implement, and optimize scalable marketing automation solutions. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, guide development teams, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver personalized, data-driven customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, etc.).
Integrate SFMC with Salesforce CRM (Sales/Service Cloud) and external systems via APIs, middleware, and data connectors.
Translate complex marketing and business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
Define data architecture, subscriber segmentation, and personalization strategies for multi-channel campaigns.
Oversee development of automations, triggered sends, personalization strings, AMPscript, and SQL queries.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and deliverability best practices.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to align campaign execution with business goals.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers and administrators.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance platform performance.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-grade SFMC solutions.
Strong expertise in:
Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio
AMPscript, SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript), SQL, and APIs
Marketing Cloud Connect (integration with Sales/Service Cloud)
Deep understanding of data modeling, segmentation, personalization, and customer lifecycle management.
Experience with cloud integrations, middleware, REST/SOAP APIs, and ETL processes.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications preferred (MC Architect, MC Consultant, Email Specialist).
Excellent communication and client-facing skills to gather requirements and present solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CDP (Customer Data Platform), Datorama, or Interaction Studio.
Familiarity with journey optimization and AI-driven personalization (Einstein features).
Prior consulting experience in enterprise SaaS / digital marketing transformation projects.
