Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a 12-month contract role with our utilities client in Minneapolis, MN. This role will be hybrid 2-3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates may sit in Denver or Minneapolis. This role will start in February 2026.
Compensation: $70-75 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the backlog, sprint content and key design decisions. Oversees project budgets and partners with product owner. Conducts required ceremonies, facilitates backlog grooming actExpertities, and develops and distributes project or product related communications.
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to guide and mentor cross-functional teams toward successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for one or more agile teams.
Coach team members on Agile values, principles, and practices to promote self-organization and accountability.
Proactively identify and remove obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.
Foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, and trust among team members and stakeholders.
Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
Track and communicate team metrics to drive continuous improvement in velocity and quality.
Promote a culture of learning and adaptability, encouraging team experimentation and innovation.
Support organizational Agile transformation initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
Exceptional facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
