Responsibilities

Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensures system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features, and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain server operating systems and their security settings configured in accordance with enterprise security guidance. This includes access control, audit, and protocol settings.
Maintain data-at-rest encryption security keys and re-encrypt server data in accordance with the organization's security policies.
Designing and implementing secure IT solutions for our organization's infrastructure.
Overseeing the establishment and enforcement of cyber security guidelines.
Staying updated with the latest matters related to cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security developments.
Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.
Collaborating with IT, legal, and communications departments to handle any security incidents swiftly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

U.S. Citizen
An active SECRET or the ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Bachelor's degree with 5 - 7 years, master's degree with 3 - 5 years, or PhD with 0 - 2 years; four (4) years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Ability to work independently and take initiative to do what is needed to achieve learning goals.
Strong understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them.
Good understanding of networks, databases, cloud systems, and other critical IT systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure.
Experience leading teams.
Demonstrates ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the organization. Target Salary Range
