Job Details
We have partnered with our client in their search for a Security Engineer Consultant
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures with security embedded throughout.
- Evaluate, integrate, and develop cybersecurity tools and features.
- Deploy security measures and guide the operations team on their use.
- Administer and maintain the organization's security platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure secure development and data protection.
- Automate security tasks and support the operations team with scripting and tool customization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security tools and configurations.
- Assist with patching, configuration management, and incident escalation.
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance team efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and network security.
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
- Knowledge of SaaS security, including SSO, MFA, and API protection.
- Familiarity with securing Windows/macOS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- DevSecOps experience and understanding of secure development practices.
- Knowledge of data security, especially for platforms like Snowflake.
- Experience in security operations (red/blue team a plus).
- Exposure to AI technologies and agent development.
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in enterprise cybersecurity, preferably with Azure.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+).
- Passion for security and a mindset for automation.
