Description

We are looking for an experienced Security Systems Analyst to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure by managing endpoint security, enhancing compliance measures, and analyzing security risks. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement robust security policies and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and address security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities across endpoints, networks, and cloud platforms.
Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation and patching efforts to mitigate risks.
Analyze data from security tools to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps, providing actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize security tools and enhance threat mitigation strategies.
Configure and manage endpoint security, including patching, software deployment, and remediation across company devices.
Develop and maintain scripts for software packaging and deployment to improve efficiency and security.
Oversee the administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Exchange Online.
Implement secure access controls and maintain compliance policies within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Support audit readiness by implementing and maintaining controls aligned with NIST 800-171 and other regulatory frameworks.
Maintain clear documentation of security procedures, findings, and remediation plans to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining controls aligned with CMMC, NIST 800-171 or similar compliance frameworks.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, systems administration, endpoint engineering, and software deployment.

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 security tools, including Intune, Entra ID, and Azure Active Directory.

Proven ability to analyze data from security tools to identify threats and implement effective remediation strategies.

Strong scripting and automation skills for software deployment and endpoint management.

Experience in documenting processes, supporting audits, and coordinating compliance assessments.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Familiarity with technologies such as Active Directory, Windows Server, Citrix, and Dell endpoint solutions.
