Job Details
Role: Senior/Enterprise Data Modeler
Location: Dallas, TX/Tampa, FL/Boston, MA
Duration: 12+ Months
Required Skills:
- 7-15 years of experience with information technology programs and services, with demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and related technologies
- 5-15 years of data architecture experience
- 5-15 years of data modeling experience
- Thorough knowledge of ERwin Data Modeler (V8 or higher) or a comparable CASE tool
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts
- Experience working as a member of distributed data architecture teams
- Understanding of information systems and data life-cycle management best practices and methodologies, formal systems engineering life cycle (SELC), and systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on SQL experience
- Good understanding of the available database management platforms in the industry.
- Effective communication skills and relationship management skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Desired Skills:
- Experience with any ETL tool (Informatica, DataStage, etc.)
- Experience with any Business Intelligence (BI) tool (i.e. Cognos, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, etc.)
- Experience with data warehousing principles
- Experience with any commercially available industry data model (i.e. IBM s Financial Services Data Model)
- Good understanding of the concepts in the financial industry, especially in trade, clearing and settlement
- Experience with any data profiling/data discovery tool
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Computer Science or Information Systems)
- Data management and data architecture related certifications (i.e. TOGAF) is a plus
